NEED TO BE A RESIDENT TO JOIN IN
OVER 60? NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, JOIN CASUALLY.
Staying active and connected makes a real difference to how much we enjoy everyday life. But it does get harder as we get older, especially when our social circles shift, or you've lost the routine that used to keep you moving.
The Beolite Village Wellbeing Program offers qi gong, gentle moves, active ageing, accessible pilates, woodburning (pyrography) and model building, for seniors across Mansfield and district, to keep our minds and bodies active.
STAY ACTIVE, CREATIVE AND SOCIAL!
To join in …
You don’t need to be fit.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to commit.
And you don’t need to live at Beolite to take part.
FOR SENIORS ACROSS MANSFIELD AND DISTRICT
PRACTICAL, AFFORDABLE & WELCOMING
Built around one straightforward idea: that staying active and connected should be practical, affordable and welcoming, not intimidating. There's no experience needed and no pressure to perform. You can take part as much or as little as you like and everything can be as simple or as involved as you choose. It all helps.

WEEKLY MOVEMENT AND WELLBEING CLASSES
Run by qualified instructors who can adjust exercises to suit individual needs.

Qi Gong - Low Impact
WITH JULIE
Gentle, joint-friendly movement that improves balance and calm.
THURSDAYS
3:00pm – 3:45pm
Slow, flowing movement suitable for people of all abilities, including those with arthritis, chronic pain or conditions that make faster exercise difficult. Qi Gong builds balance and body awareness without putting stress on joints, while the breath focus and pace make it genuinely calming.
Cost: $10 per class.

Wood Burning (Pyrography)
Learn a new skill, improve concentration, and leave with something beautiful.
1ST & 3RD SAT OF EACH MONTH
10:00am – 12:00pm
Pyrography is detailed, meditative work that improves hand-eye coordination and concentration, producing something tangible you can keep, give away or display. Learning a new skill at any age supports cognitive function. No experience needed; instruction and materials are provided.
Cost ($2 for tea/coffee).

Accessible Pilates
WITH ROBYN FROM PILATES POINT
Ease pain and tightness, get stronger and move with more confidence.
TUESDAYS
2:00pm – 3:00pm
THURSDAYS
11:30am – 12:30pm
FRIDAYS
11:30am – 12:30pm
A supportive pilates class focusing on strength, balance, breath, control and confidence of movement. Sessions are adapted to individual capability, with a strong emphasis on safety, body awareness and enjoyment. Robyn concentrates on making sure each student is working within their capabilities and relative to their fitness, safety, and general well-being.

Gentle Moves
WITH LOU FROM LOUFIT
Gently build strength and balance to feel steadier at home.
WEDNESDAYS
11:30am – 12:00pm
For people who want to start gently. This one is particularly useful if you've been less active recently, or recovering from illness or surgery. We use fun interactive movements that work coordination, strength, balance and trunk stability. These movements that will help you keep opening jars, getting up out of chairs and reaching the top cupboard. Lou meets you where you’re at and helps you build strength and confidence in your body.
Cost: $10 per class.

Scale Modelling
CARS, BIKES, AEROPLANES AND 3D BUILDINGS
Keep hands nimble and minds sharp while creating a masterpiece.
1ST & 3RD TUE OF EACH MONTH 10:00am – 12:00pm
Working with small pieces maintains hand strength and dexterity. Following instructions, solving problems and producing a finished object is more purposeful than it might sound, and there's real cognitive benefit in it too. No experience needed.
Cost ($2 for tea/coffee).

Active Ageing
WITH LOU FROM LOUFIT
Get stronger for walking, gardening and shopping (or just more pep in your step).
WEDNESDAYS
12:15pm – 1:00pm
A more active class covering balance, coordination, strength and core stability, with some gentle cardiovascular work. If you've noticed everyday tasks are getting a little harder, this is designed for exactly that. Modifications are available so you always work at your own level.
Cost: $10 per class.
As with any new exercise program, we recommend you discuss these activities with your GP if you have any health conditions or injuries. If there are actions or movements you need to avoid, these can be communicated to the instructor and they will give you alternative options.
